Under the Malaysia Halal Management System (MHMS), every JAKIM-certified company must appoint at least one certified Halal Executive — and that certificate must be issued by the Halal Professional Board (HPB) under JAKIM. Operating without a certified Halal Executive can result in non-compliance and suspension of your Halal certification.
About This Programme
The Professional Halal Executive (PCHE) programme is an 8-day, 72-hour intensive certification programme designed and developed by JAKIM to produce competent Halal Executives equipped with theoretical knowledge and practical skills in all phases of organisational Halal operation.
This programme is conducted by a registered Halal Training Provider (PLH) authorised by the Halal Professional Board (HPB) under JAKIM. Upon successful completion, participants receive an HPB-JAKIM issued Halal Executive Certificate — recognised throughout Malaysia and internationally in countries that accept JAKIM-certified Halal standards.

Documentation frameworks, Halal manual development, record-keeping systems and administrative procedures for Halal-certified premises.

Structuring and managing the Internal Halal Committee — roles, responsibilities, meeting procedures and reporting frameworks.

Halal Quality Assurance
Implementing and monitoring quality assurance processes aligned with MS1500:2019, MPPHM 2020 and MHMS 2020 requirements.

Halal Certification Process Administration
End-to-end management of the JAKIM Halal certification application, renewal, and surveillance audit process.

Internal Halal Audit Facilitation
Planning, executing and reporting on internal Halal audits — identifying non-conformances and driving corrective action as mandated annually under MHMS 2020.
Eligibility Criteria
As per MPPHM 2020, the following criteria must be met to register as a Halal Executive:
Holds a permanent employment contract
Diploma OR minimum 5 years experience in Halal management
